Comments from folks who know more about Indian politics than I do? I'm not an expert in Indian politics but the politics of this situation seem like a huge issue. I can't understand why creating a new state is the right answer here. Increasing bureaucracy isn't going to help these people get better access. That requires increasing democracy. Plus, doesn't this just fuel other secessionist movements?

Quoted: Twenty ministers in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh resign in protest at the decision to create a new state in its north.

This has led to the city being nicknamed the Granite City and also the Silver City with the Golden Sands.
