Another Okanagan festival
Sunday, is a day filled with Festival activities for the whole family. As Shelly Covert says “if you ever imagined people having lots of fun hitting, throwing, rolling and cavorting around in piles and piles of ripe tomatoes...then this event is for you”. Ever played tomato mini-golf through knee-high alfalfa, rolling a tomato over bridges and under miniature houses? How about tomato bocce ball, tomato catapults or teaming up for a tug-of-war that lands the losers in a heaping pile of ripe, red tomatoes? Or for the really brave, the Tomato Fight! You can stand on the sidelines and watch, or you can jump in and brave flying tomatoes.
