調査結果によると、SaaS(Software as a Service)型CRMソリューションは、2007年には対前年173.7%となる56億1200万円になると見込まれる。これは、市場全体の対前年比128.5%を大きく超える成長となっている。
SaaS型モデルの登場で、多くの企業が低価格なCRMを体験し始めていると同社は分析している。またオープンソースソフトウェア(OSS)型CRMも徐々に販路を広げ、ユーザーを獲得しつつある。

By that time, I'm quite sure there would be another solution that could replace SharePoint, and the cycle would start again. We can quibble about the numbers, but you get the point. Plus, the numbers don't reflect that the SaaS solution is likely to improve and innovate faster than the licensed software by a significant amount.
