I'm noticing a trend with your lunch recs--they all involve booze.

Ross's friend April apparently likes the sushi chef, but is it because of his sushi? Or er.... his sushi....?
My friend April likes the sushi chef, Philip ;)

NICE! glad you enjoyed it. it's owned by a friend of mine! and i designed their website and took all the photos used on the website - like 2 years ago so it's a bit old and i'd redo the nav now.
the really sad thing is if google sites had more flexibility for layout and stuff i think it would be a great tool for restaurant and other small business websites where the owner just wants to change hours or menu items.
I setup a site for a friend's condo in Hawaii (http://kauai-condo-vacation.com) using Google Page Creator just for that reason. It's a bit rough - but the price is right (free hosting). I'm authoring a blog post about all the tools I used.
nice! can't wait to read it! were you able to do any modifications on the templates? or did you end up using one of the defaults?
I used a default, but had to do some HTML editing. Microsoft's new Office Life service also has free website hosting. The editor is more powerful in some ways - but also was missing some features like auto-resizing of uploaded images.
just played around with it. it's good - but it also only offer templates. wish i could find something like google sites / microsoft office life which allowed you to edit the template code (header image, etc...). i just want the copy to be editable and nothing else.
thanks for the info on MS Office Life Mike - at least i know what's out there. :)
Google Page Creator lets you UPLOAD any file - so you don't have to start with their template. You can make the uploaded file your default home page (assuming they fix the Settings page bug - but worka around is listed in my startpad blog post).
oh sweet! thanks mike for the info - i'm gonna read your post now.
