Went here last night. I had lamb medallions, spicy tuna rolls, and an eggplant dish.

Pros: Modern, trendy, great if you like red + black, high quality creative food -- even the non-sushi dishes, undiscovered so it's possible to get a table on Friday night.

Cons: portions are small, not your "everyday" sushi place (upscale, slightly pricier than elsewhere)

  • Sri and I ate dinner here tonight---I've already been here 2 other times and love it. The restaurant has only been open for 4 months and is located in the rather new Hotel Max (formerly the Vance Hotel). This restaurant is brought to you by the same sushi chef and owner as the Wasabi Bistro and has not been a disappointment whatsoever. I've always been extremely pleased with the food--this evening, I had an uptown California roll (they added shrimp tempura) and Sri had some of the best spicy tuna she's ever had. She also had Togarashi-seared Dayboat Sea Scallops, which I've had before and those are highly recommended. Because the restaurant is fairly new, it's a bit undiscovered and it's really easy to get a reservation in, even on weekends. There's also usually plenty of parking due to its location. I think this is an undiscovered secret of sushi restaurants in Seattle and highly recommend it. Hope you enjoy it too!
