I can now say it's time to upgrade to Firefox 3.01. The 3.0 release was VERY unstable (esp. if you were using Rescue Time). The 3.01 release has fixed these bugs and is working much better for me. I can run my somewhat brutal JavaScript test suite (for PageForest) w/o crashes and Firebug seems stable with this release too.

Instructions here on adding Firefox symbols to Visual Studio so I can debug the crashes I'm seeing in Firefox. I'm not running a checked build (not sure where to get those).
