Oh I hope they reopen it! One of my favorite memories is climbing up the Statue of Liberty as a kid - esp. during the centennial year... so cool.

I'd like to see them reopen the TORCH! I was up there in a school trip in the 1950s -- don't know when they closed it down, but the concern was stability of the arm. Should have been fixed when the statue was restored ...
yeah, i remember they put in a new torch fairly recently - i've never been up there!
