  • Hans is my classmate here at Pepperdine. He's a Washington native, with high hopes of one day soon becoming a full-time politician. Well he's definitely on the right track, already have written two books, several columns for noted news journals, etc., being an accomplished scholar...and he's only 21! Man, I have to freakin compete with him :P

Hans Zeiger is only a sinner saved by grace. Current Magazine has recognized Hans as one of America’s 15 emerging college students, and as the top young religious leader on the nation’s campuses.

i would say anyone who says things like this: "Regardless of what leads to homosexuality, it is a thing that has an agenda in our society and is very harmful to the traditional family and is causing a tremendous amount of harm to young men," he said. "The Boy Scouts are one of the few organizations that have the moral sense to stand against the homosexual agenda, and it's an agenda that's quite different. It's definitely highly political and is accompanied by an entire body of moral relativism." is not someone I care to "compete" with. If the right wants to hold up this guy as a symbol, they should go for it, it only further shows the party's prejudice.

point taken :) on the other hand, i'm glad i'll have opportunities to learn why the other side thinks like this, and hopefully be able to butt heads! the guy is still really smart, you've got to admit.

hmm. not sure I'd say "smart"

come on sudha. you can't discount someone's intelligence for having a different point of view from you.

    • sudha - Sep 24 2007

It's not discounting his intelligence for having a different point of view...but if you read the stuff he's written, there's no logic in it. He's benefiting from the right desperately needing young people who espouse those views. Homsexuality is harmful to the traditional family? he just makes statements but has no logical backing for them. That's not smart...it's just talk.
