Faves for this Web page
Well, I must admit that I was pretty impressed with your PS2 setup. It seems like you had it setup pretty nicely...
But I'm not a gamer....at all...so even if I had the money, not sure if I'd go that route. This seems much more my style...
Most importantly: Follow some of the links in this article, several of them are just as good as the article itself. Especially the one called Fluid, that one is awesome. I already made a Special Broswer just for Gmail.
Quoted: The question for the past few years has been simple: who's going to make it into the living room first. The market is growing, features are being added, but no

Was driving me batty that FF was always starting maximized and every new window was also maximized. It took a bit of searching, but eventually I found the right key words that led me here.
The trick noted in the last post of the thread worked, much to my disbelief.

hmmm, that seems interesting. I understand your not as interested in gaming as I am, so the PS3 is probably not the best route, although your mac won't have blu-ray, and who knows when it would get included.
Here's the defining key i found to my HTPC. If it requires a keyboard/muose, it fails. It's to cumbersome and awkward to have a keyboard in your living room. So many years we've had a simple remote control to do everything.
So, if you launch up OSX, loading up AppleTV or Front Row would be easy, since you have a very simple remote.
but what about hulu? how do you pull that one off without a mouse and keyboard. IMHO, right there is your point of failure. TV's are hard to read (compared to LCD monitors 12" from your face), and the keyboard is a total pain in the ass.....
Again, i really think the key to the living room is simplicity, think about it. So many mp3 players were out there, they all sucked, and then the ipod was so simple to use. Add just a few buttons and a click wheel. It needs to be that simple to be comfortably adopted in the home.
