MOSS is a very good platform to build social applications on top of (especially when you connect with OCS). Also, we're integrating MOSS (Web Parts) with outside Social Web apps now giving corporate employees a very rich set of tools to self-publish and connect with peers. People productivity is a big part of business process performance...plus, the more you can digitize knowledge, the better search becomes!
