国際宇宙ステーション(ISS)は東京などからでも肉眼で見えるらしいのですが、そもそも一体何月何日何時何分頃にどの方向を見ればいいのかということはそう簡単にはわかりません。しかしこのウェブアプリ「ToriSat」なら「天文方面はさっぱりでも、どんなに方向オンチでも、時計だけ持って外に出ればかんたんに人工衛星を追っかけられる親切インターフェイス」ということらしいので、かなり期待が持てます。
また、Googleストリートビューに対応している地域であれば、身近な場所の景色に合わせて衛星の動きをシミュレーションしてくれるようになっており、地図上での軌道表示も可能、さらにはGoogle Earth 上で「衛星からの視点」をシミュレーションできるそうです。
