I spent a couple days walking up and down La Rambla and laying around the beach. When that got old I checked out and fell in love with the architecture around town. I know the creepy feeling you're talking about Sung, you feel like something snafu is imminent, but I guess that is life.
it used to be an apartment / hotel - but now it's a muesuem. the rooftop is out of control. the walls are wavy - some high, some low. makes you feel very very nervious and unsafe. they added steel fencing around the edges - but it still felt creepy.
I don't believe that people live in the apartments...I remeber them being open for tours, its sort of a muesuem...I think...Rosana?
whoooa! jesse and i were both there in september! i wasn't aware you were there in the summer noreen.
Hey Noreen, this is kind of a silly question but do people still live in the apartments he designed? I wasn't able to get if this is true or not from the websites...
I saw a lot of Gaudi's stuff while I was in Barcelona this summer...It is definitely like walking into a fairytale...Sometimes it was overwhelming...and a little insane...but he definitely has a unique style...the park is amazing...as is the apartment...I wasn't a huge fan of the church...which is still under construction.

One of my new favorite artists. What a different world it would be if Gaudi designed the buildings. It would be like living in a fairytale :)
I'll have to make a trip to Barcelona to experience for myself.
