    oops...you have chosen poorly!!!

Quoted: Celebrated Trail Blazers rookie center Greg Oden, the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, will be out at least until March and may miss the 2007-08 season after undergoing knee surgery Thursday.

ouch. he had the esophogus/lung problem earlier too.
is this like sam bowie part 2? the injured version, instead of bad.

wow, imagine if they hover around lotto territory and got another #1 pick next year. T.T

I feel bad for LeBron's dad... uhh, i mean this kid. I actually even feel bad for Trail Blazer fans (Chad). With all the buzz here in Seattle surrounding Durant, I can't help but think if Portland would have selected Durant and we selected Oden, would the Sonics be gone for sure? The Trail Blazers appear to still be in great shape for the future but this could have been a death blow for the city of Seattle in terms of retaining the team.

Doh! That second pick is now looking pretty good for the Sonics.

Here's the sobering reality of this situation: 7 foot-tall people are very prone to injury simply because their bodies are, well, unnatural. Oden was injured most of his one year in College. Now he's going to miss his rookie season because he has cartilage damage in his knee. This guy is going to be injury plagued for his entire career. Portland, you guys just got screwed. Time to stock up on HGH.

yikes... apparently Nike reps have confiscated all the tapes which show LeBron James getting dunked on by a college Sophomore.

Quoted: On Monday night, a pair of videographers recorded Xavier's Jordan Crawford dunking on James during a pickup game. After James allegedly huddled with Nike executive Lynn Merritt, the tapes were confiscated.
    ...
Thou shalt not dunk on the King and live to YouTube about it. Predictably, Nike came to James' rescue and insisted the tapes were commandeered only because videotaping pickup games after hours is against policy. It has also been suggested that James, who recently underwent facial surgery and is probably not in game shape, would be more concerned about his conditioning level than the dunk.
