CMU has new mascot.
Quoted: The graphic features the profile of a Scottish Terrier sporting a plaid scarf around its neck. This particular breed of dog — which Andrew Carnegie kept as a pet — is known for its keen, alert and intelligent expression. Its temperament is described as determined and thoughtful while its physical aspects exemplify strength, power and agility in a small package — many traits that are attributable to the university itself.

I like the dog. Wait...you guys are 'Tartans'? Isn't that the name of any pattern that is 'plaid'? So you're The Plaids?
was it always a dog? I had no idea
i don't know what it was before.
That mascot is almost as inspirational as that of my alma mater - the Banana Slugs!
I just checked - we didn't have a mascot before...the old dog they used was unlicensed clip art.
I like... Isn't that a schnauzer? Maybe Luna can come dressed up as the new CMU mascot during Halloween '08!
