TiddlyWiki - a reusable non-linear personal web notebook
- alexj - Jan 30 2007
Someone rated this as the future of blogging.
A TiddlyWiki is like a blog because it's divided up into neat little chunks, but it encourages you to read it by hyperlinking rather than sequentially: if you like, a non-linear blog analogue that binds the individual microcontent items into a cohesive whole.
I don't think I've really got my head around this yet...

Need to check this out too!
Quoted: Welcome to TiddlyWiki, a free MicroContent WikiWikiWeb created by JeremyRuston and a busy Community of independent developers. It's written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript to run on any modern browser without needing any ServerSide logic. It allows anyone to create personal SelfContained hypertext documents that can be posted to a WebServer, sent by email or kept on a USB thumb drive to make a WikiOnAStick.

The wiki-est wiki! A brilliant self-contained customizable open source wiki engine powered by Javascript & Cascading Style Sheets
This thing is amazing! It's a wiki app that's fully self-contained in a SINGLE HTML FILE. It's really, really insane! It is also really useful for all kinds of projects.

wow, the that opens a world of possibilities! I could have a downloadable, self-contained wiki of different types of information. How cool would it be for someone to, say, have a wiki on top 10 cooking recipes for every type of cuisine that has been completely downloaded onto their hard drive? Wow!

thanks chen. trying it out.

cool wiki
The interface is extremely slick, and feels really nice when you're using it. Great way to organize all the random crap on your life.

I looked at this a few months back. Interesting that there seems to be a pretty devoted following. The portability of each wiki document to take offline is pretty cool concept.
