Faves for this Web page
Just watched this movie for film class. I always thought it was one of those cheesy old sci-fi movies like 'Invasion of the body snatchers or something, but it surprised me, it is possibly the greatest science fiction film I have seen in my life. Incredibly intelligent and funny, poking fun at the stupidity of the human race and society as a whole.
If you haven't seen it, you really should.

so good. probably one of the first really amazing sci-fi films
Yeah, it's great.
I dotted the original short story on which this is based. FYI.
When I was in college, I had a fake ID. How's that relative? Well, the name was GORT, it had his (her?) picture on it, and the student ID, in the appropriate OCR font, was Klaatu Barada Nikto. Probably still have it somewhere.
it's available on netflix through for instant viewing. might watch it tonight.
