after searching everywhere for an answer - this video helped me... basically i just had to type in the ip address for my desktop. this may seem like a no-brainer for someone who knows what you're doing - but i didn't know. :(

I was using the Vista Magnifier, and the text on my screen is looking like crap. I checked my TrueType settings and they were turned off. Seems like the Magnifier is trashing this window setting.
