Quoted: This is the classic Pentatonic scale (5 note scale). It is the most common scale in blues, pop and rock music. It is quite an easy one to learn and is a very useful scale.

I'm sharing this with John. Cool stuff.
That's the right first scale to learn. Now go out and get a BB King CD and start ripping his licks. He uses that scale and his stuff is easy to learn.
That'll be fun. Now I need to get John to finish the repair of my guitar. (Engineer that he is, he took it apart to improve it, and it's been apart for a long, long time.)
