    This is the first tornado to hit Brooklyn in 118 years. Something's screwy.

    Quoted: The thunderstorm that tore through New York City on Wednesday unloaded 3 inches of rain in an hour and spawned a tornado that ripped the roofs off dozens of Brooklyn homes. It was the borough's first twister since the National Weather Service started keeping reliable records in 1889,

      So that doesn't mean there was one 118 years ago, just none recorded since?

      i think it means no tornadoes... i remember a weak tornado hit NJ one year and everyone was up in arms

      That NJ tornado over 11 trees in our yard. Expect more of this as global warming continues.
