  • Wow. You'd think our government would have better things to talk about than "Borat." ... Guess not.

The Kazakhstan president met with president Bush recently and it was topic #1 on his list. Supposedly, he wanted to purchase advertising time to combat Borat's negative influence.

  • Ha! The president of Kazakhstan wants to speak with George W. Bush about how Borat is ruining the country of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan would be better of if they just started monetizing on Borat's success instead of being so uptight about it.

      That is so great.

Afghanistan is experiencing a Taliban revival in the southern part of the country, 60 bodies delivered today to Bagdhad morgue and Iran's enriching uranium.....unless Bush plans to discuss how he clears brush down in Crawford can you believe he would actually spend any time on Borat??

I think Kazakhstan is important geographically to US interests. Bush invited the president of that fair country to visit and talk. The fact that Borat is near the top of mind for Kazakhstan is all that the article alludes to. It'll probably come up at the end of the conversation when Bush says, "so do you have anything YOU'D like to talk about?"

I like you, do you like me?

Seriously, Kazakhstan really needs to get Borat to help them with their marketing

Fun Fact: the other day I was chatting with an old friend who speaks polish, and she says that the 'kazakh' words that borat says are really just polish with bad pronounciation. like 'jin kooi' is welcome (i think)
