Faves for this Web page

This is really cool. Just ran into this site:
http://blog.persistent.info/2006/10/import-your-delicious-bookmarks-into.html
and was surprised to see an unusual 3-column layout that fit the width of my monitor. Then I resized the window - and it went to 2 column layout, and then 1 column layout. Spanning BOTH of my monitors and it went to a 6-column layout.
They are using the Firefox-specific CSS:
-moz-column-gap:1.5em;
-moz-column-width:30em;Awesome! It would be great if more sites made wide-screen reading more reasonable by using narrower columns for the text.
Preliminary support for CSS3 columns is in Firefox 1.5 -- hadn't realized this until I stumbled across a blog using it.
Quoted: Two CSS properties control whether and how many columns will appear: -moz-column-count and -moz-column-width.

Nice trick for changing the text selection color for cases where the default (blue) clashes with your color scheme!

I've seen a few sites that use it ... I always get confused and find it difficult to read, but I might just be used to the more traditional view.
Probably overkill for most blog posts - since they're not that long. But a great idea for full-length articles. Of course, you could argue that people don't really "read" on the web anyway - they're just scanning.
