My latest blog post...
1 FaverViewed: 7 TimesQuoted: In part five of this series , we make our way over the bridge and into Ballard ... a neighborhood so hip, so historical, and so out there on its own (that's a good thing), it's easy for newcomers to forget it's part of Seattle.

I feel horrible about my wedding ring. I didn't realize what was involved back in 2006 when I got married, otherwise I don't think I would have got a diamond ring. I think about selling it and donating the money to Africa...I'd feel like less of a douche bag that way.
you shouldn't feel bad ... just mad :) i had no idea either and totally would've made the same choice. as consumers, there's so much that we need to look out for nowadays and corporations do everything in their power to keep us in the dark about where our products come from. i think the important thing is just making informed choices once you DO learn about something like this, you know?
and ultimately, some of this is in consumer power but we have to remember to focus on political solutions to these kinds of things. corporations shouldn't be allowed to get away with these abuses!
amen!
