LOL, I love this quote ...
Quoted: Bennett said his effort to bring a team to Oklahoma City was "coincidental" and not related to the purchase of the Sonics and Storm.
The rest of you may not have the same attachment to the Sonics as I do, but I've followed them ever since I was old enough to watch Sesame Street. I went to a Sonics game before I went to a Mariners game. I grew up watching Tom Chambers, Dale Ellis, Xavier McDaniel, later Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton, and most recently Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis. This is bad. The new owner is from Oklahoma City, which is Desperate for a pro sports team, especially a basketball team after getting the Hornets for a season. Fuck you Howard Shultz. You make shitty coffee and now you've run out of town one of my three childhood teams. And fuck you too City of Seattle government. Your stubbornness over Key Arena and the Seattle Center ultimately made it financially irresponsible for the Sonics ownership to stay in Seattle. All you bitches, I hate you all.
Quoted: The Sonics have been sold to a group from Oklahoma City led by businessman Clay Bennett for $350 million, according to multiple sources.

My latest blog post...
1 FaverViewed: 7 TimesQuoted: In part five of this series , we make our way over the bridge and into Ballard ... a neighborhood so hip, so historical, and so out there on its own (that's a good thing), it's easy for newcomers to forget it's part of Seattle.
