another good article to read re: the democratic presidential election
Quoted: Most of the venom is coming from supporters of Barack Obama, who want their hero or nobody. His campaign seems dangerously close to becoming a cult of personality.

This is actually what I noticed at my precinct caucus. I love Barack, but was sort of uncomfortable with the rhetoric people were using for why they support him. I'm also worried that he actually could become a divisive figure within the Democratic party if Hillary got the nomination because of the fervor surrounding him right now.
"I'm also worried that he actually could become a divisive figure within the Democratic party if Hillary got the nomination because of the fervor surrounding him right now." <-- that's why we need to make sure he gets the nomination :)
actually, that's a good reason to think twice about how we're deciding who we're nominating. Don't nominate him out of fear of losing...that's what a lot of people are doing and they aren't actually looking for substance, which is unfortunate for democracy. folks should read my other dot: http://www.womensmediacenter.com/ex/020108.html
