Thanks to Mike Koss for this nice link

  • Found this clip in the new Blue Dot video rollup. Nice! I'd never heard of the show "Sexy Beijing" but it's apparently a transplanted American talking about her experiences in Beijing. In this episode, she asks people on the streets about their "English names" with some pretty funny results.

  • Smacker!

I love this video. Su Fei (Sophie), a westerner, walks the streets of Beijing asking people if they have an English name, and why.

It's so impressive to see a westerner apparently so fluent in Chineese, too.

[the intro - filmed in the style of Sex in the City - is really good too]

Cool! I love the name Smacker, and I like the guy with the nametag labeled "Susan." Hilarious.

I had a friend in Hong Kong whose name was Genius, and his girlfriend's name was Purple. My other friend was named Audi and his sister was Mercedes. Gotta love it.

This certainly takes me back to when I was in Beijing.

china has almost completed the installation of what it calls an impenetrable operating system that will work with key government and military servers. That puts them ahead of our government in this department, which is worrisome given that they've already started to hack everything we've got.

Including Berkeley's student records; they harvested 163,000 accounts with personal info. Great....

Quoted: Kylin's existence was disclosed to Congress during recent hearings that included new details on how Beijing is preparing to wage cyberwarfare with Washington.
