For $169, the Helios H4000 looks like it's going to be a great DVD player. It upscales DVDs to HD resolution, supports PAL and NTSC for you foreign film buffs, and supports a bevy of playback formats.
Has anybody heard more about this?

YES, the Peanuts holiday specials are all available on one DVD!! Also, I couldn't agree with this writer more - I look forward to those Charlie Brown movies every time the holidays roll around. Wish The Great Pumpkin was on TV this year... Happy Halloween!

It upscales DVDs to HD resolution, not HD quality.
Nice catch. I will edit my post's verbiage. What are your thoughts on the price/capability of this player though? I think it looks pretty nice...
I wouldn't spend $169 on a DVD player in 2006, I don't care what features it has. DVD just ain't great on a large format HD set, no player can fix that. I'd put the $169 towards the HD-DVD player on the Xbox 360 or a PS3.
