ahah! medical applications of electric reality of life.
better late than never...this is good news.

Quoted: Deep brain stimulation may offer help for severely depressed patients.

let me get this straight, you think it is not ok to use synthetic fertilizer to increase the productivity of arable land, reduce to price of food, and reduce hunger worldwide

but you think it is good news that human emotion and behavior can be controlled by the expensive and expert application of artificial electric stimulus to the brain?

    • CE - Jun 06 2007

yeah duh...does that not makes sense to you? swear my logic is intuitively airtight. it's not about natural versus unnatural, its about crude/callous & destructive versus subtle/graceful & reconnective manipulations of nature/reality....dig?

    • CE - Jun 06 2007

chemical/mechanic versus magnetic/electric if you will.

    • ehansen - Jun 06 2007

too subjective for me. What is crude/callous about or chemical/mechanic about feeding more of the world's people?

    • CE - Jun 06 2007

you're talking like you have a white man's burden. people could feed themselves -- like they did for ages before we took their land and copyrighted their seeds.

beep beep - backing up - beep beep

the discussion is about how you think the use of artificial, external stimulation on the brain to control emotions and behavior is morally superior to using synthetic fertilizers to increase the productivity of agriculture.

Whatever makes you feel good I guess.

oh man how can you say anything in disagreement with a guy who makes truck noises when he is (figuratively) backing up. what do you have a three year old boy or something?
