I just joined Gold's. It's pretty awesome. I'm a total beefcake now. Not sure if it will make me smarter though.
In defense of the brain age games, when i used them regularly, I was able to do arithmetic much faster, as that was one of the exercises. I think the distinction is that the individual skills dont necessarily translate into overall brain improvement, but certainly, practicing arithmetic every day makes you better at it.
