Damn, I wasn't expecting protests to directly affect the Olympic relay to this degree. Good, though - Olympic officials should be forced to explain what kind of message they're trying to send by picking China to host the games. Still, I feel bad for the athletes - it's not their fault.

Do you think China is getting the message?
Nah, i bet they don't care except it's embarrassing for them.
not even that, they'll spin the hell out of this - no one in china will ever know bout this. look at how they spun the BS in tibet. they stated that it was police officers who were hurt by the protesters and not the other way around. they brought in foreign press and took them on rehearsed tours to show that the government are not at fault.
in the end i wonder if this will have any effect on china making any changes.
