    ユニークな学科の新設を決めたのは、ソウルにある私立成均館大学だ。同大学はサムスン電子と共同で、博士および修士課程に携帯電話学科を設置。2007年1学期から講義を開始する。

    具体的な研究分野は、Human Interface／Connectivity／Embedded Software／Mobile Platform／Mobile Healthの5つだという。

    携帯電話学科の学生に対しては、サムスン電子が登録金全額を負担するほか学費補助金を支給する。さらに卒業後にはサムスン電子への入社が優先的に保証されるというから、入学はかなり狭き門となりそうだ。
