I had some requests *cough-kruse-cough*
to make a bigger deal out of my posting to suggest lberal bias in the media- apparently we had one that was "unclear" to I have decided to make them more clear by putting stars at the top.

See comment above. Just an aside; it happens that ABC News is the one I typically watch, since it comes on first. I agree a party affiliation should be mentioned no matter what. But see my above comment also. The Republican ID issue here is more one, I think, of the proximity of instances involving wayward Republican penises at a time when the party claims the morality vote (among evangelicals, anyway).
Melissa- He was the Democrat who was fighting for "families" shutting down the competition- I mean prostitution rings. That was HIS platform that HE used to beat the Republicans... Democrats claim to the platform of having a heart and not selling out- So then it makes it relevant. And aren't Democrats the party that "doesn't cater to specials interests," but clearly here NOT prosecuting this ring he knew about is like being in the pocket of a VERY powerful lobbyist. My point is we can brainstorm about 10,000 reasons why this is opposed to what the democrats claim to stand for therefore making the part relevant per your suggested reasoning. The simple truth is party is only important when a politician does something bad and its a Repulbican.
here is the opening quote
"Good evening. I'm Ann Curry, in for Brian Williams tonight. Today New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, who painted himself as a champion of ethics and moral conviction, resigned just two days after the bombshell news linking him to a prostitution ring."
