Incredible. The most influential minds in America at work... BTW, the quote directly below is not from some Joe Sixpack asked to comment, it's from Justice Breyer. You know, one of the GOOD justices.
Quoted: "In my experience when I was 8 or 10 or 12 years old, you know, we did take our clothes off once a day, we changed for gym, OK? And in my experience, too, people did sometimes stick things in my underwear."
Quoted: That the school in question was looking for a prescription pill with the mind-altering force of a pair of Advil—and couldn't be bothered to call the child's mother first—hardly matters.

I love how all variations of SimCity-type games are still so popular! FarmVille is a pretty cool app, I must say...
2 FaversViewed: 5 TimesQuoted: FarmVille has quickly become the most popular application in the history of Facebook. More than 62 million people have signed up to play the game since it made its debut in June.

1. "Nobody but Ginsburg seems to comprehend that the only locker rooms in which teenage girls strut around, bored but fabulous in their underwear, are to be found in porno movies. For the rest of us, the middle-school locker room was a place for hastily removing our bras without taking off our T-shirts."
2. "Oh, ick indeed. The search for a bright line rule about the expectations of student privacy has turned into a fight between a bunch of guys who still say 'brassiere.'"
there were some good gems in this piece. but really? if somebody made me or my hypothetical child undergo a strip search and school, there would be hell to pay. i cannot believe that this is okay.
I think the amount of anxiety I experienced in my sixth-grade life over changing and showering (mandatory) in gym class has taken roughly 10 years off of my life. I DREADED having to change in front of other girls. And yes, the de-braing while still keeping your shirt on is a skill every girl masters because of gym class. As if junior high/high school isn't awkward enough, as if 99% of girls that age don't hate their bodies -- let's throw in strip searches. BRILLIANT!
I just noticed the inexplicable emphasis in that cartoon, a la "Curtis" - how does that happen?
Very strange indeed!
