      Those don't offend my personal irony threshold in the same way. They're more grandfathered in, in my mind, by clean college hippies. I can live with it because it's more of a conscious effort/statement, even...and it might not look good, but it's not inherently ugly. Crocks are like, "huuuuuwweee, these are comfertible! Like bilt in air condishin'!" They also have that "I'm just throwing these on because I just have to cover myself in some way" sort of feel -- just like sweat pants.

      Yeah, I'm struggling to understand the crocs trend. They look horrendously stupid -- except on my neighbor's 1-1/2-year-old.
