Faves for this Web page
- sung - Nov 04 2008 | voting, registration, elections
i was sent back by the post office stating that ballots will not be accepted on election day. just found out she is wrong, now heading back to the post office to mail in my ballot.
.....
When must the voted ballot be returned?
Mail ballots must be post-marked on or before Election Day. If the Auditor's Office receives a ballot after Election Day that was not post-marked on or before Election Day, the votes on the ballot will not be counted.

Great blog post by Pramila! And, all the content is good - but immediately relevant is the piece about Mallahan (running for Seattle Mayor) - his comments make me very worried and provide yet another reason for me to vote for Nickels.

She must be confused by Washington State law (assuming you're sending it from Ohio).
yeah - but i told her it's for WA state! whatever, i'm gonna make sure to send it out today!
um, wtf? the post office should know that! you can still mail in ballots as long as they're postmarked ON election day.
DONE! my first official vote ever has been submitted! woot!
She must have been able to tell that you were a shifty-eyed liberal and wanted to make sure your vote wasn't counted.
i mean, you're in ohio, right? i'm just saying...
