Many webmasters believe Cascading Style Sheets are a more efficient website tool than HTML tags because it gives you more control over your web site design by allowing you to position elements exactly how you intend. But someone else's formats may be not to your liking
Nice trick for changing the text selection color for cases where the default (blue) clashes with your color scheme!

Doesn't work for selection color in <input> boxes or <textarea>'s, unfortunately. I can have any color I want - as long as it's "blue". :-(
