That's certainly in line with Joe's one-bedroom apartment rent in Stuy Town.
Yeah, my friends' places are going through the roof, even in Brooklyn. But I have to say, the rent increases in Seattle are comparable - we're just starting from a lower baseline...
My rent for a 750 sqft 1-bedroom is between 1/4 and 1/3 of that.
Oh yeah, I mean that the percent increase in rent isn't that different - not the actual price (looking at how much my rent's gone up in the last 2 years versus how much my friends' rent has gone up in NY)...
