this is quite alarming...glacial retreat at that pace over the past three years is obviously not a good sign and very significant. I sincerely hope that the Indian gov't will take this matter seriously b/c although it doesn't see climate change in itself as a major issue yet, the ramifications of such change (as mentioned in the article) on the Indian population will be much more severe and harder to alleviate if solid actions are not taken.
