i for one am particularly fond of potatoes, and did not know that they were native to peru. those exotic varieties have been around for quite some time but are very hard to find as they have to be imported (it's the same basic deal as heirloom tomatoes).
anywho, i like food, and i like potatoes, especially fried, they're excellent. so let the UN Year of the Potato commence!
