    This public school has amazing food, because they've incorporated gardening into the school ciriculum so they can get very in expensive, organic food. Really interesting to see how that impacts children's thoughts and habits about food.

    Quoted: Here's a word you don't associate with the school cafeteria: fresh. But last year, Abernathy Elementary School in Portland, Ore., bought a second-hand stove and a big mixer and started cooking all its food from scratch. Success is measured by the trash: Kids are throwing less food away.
