  • Looking forward to this movie - Raymond Carver's one of my favorite writers! And Laura Linney's great too. I read Carver's work so long ago, though, that I didn't even realize he lived in the Pacific Northwest for so long.

Quoted: Raymond Carver’s characters get transplanted from the Pacific Northwest to Australia for the film, “Jindabyne.” Most of Carver’s stories are set in the Pacific Northwest, where he spent most of his life. It’s not an area he describes in a lot of detail, but it’s nonetheless a defining circumstance for his characters.
