    Yeah, I never really understood the point of kids' menus, other than the fun activities and the smaller portions/cheaper prices. Why would you feed your kid chicken fingers when you're out at a nice restaurant? Eating different cuisines at an early age is the best way to develop a palate for them...

      Restaurant owners don't have much of a choice ... gotta give the people what they want, even if they shouldn't want it :)

      Also, kids can easily throw tantrums if they don't get what they want. Parents may not mind that, but I'm willing to bet that screaming kids are the last thing nice restaurants want to deal with.

      True true... but it's a chicken or the egg kind of thing. Do restaurants have crap food for kids because it's what kids want or do kids want crap food because it's what they're being given?
