Was driving me batty that FF was always starting maximized and every new window was also maximized. It took a bit of searching, but eventually I found the right key words that led me here.
The trick noted in the last post of the thread worked, much to my disbelief.

Just went to one of their stores, noticed the dynamic color swapping is up and running, is that your code? I'm guessing that it's not, or its somehow taken from yours.
the function is modProduct.swapSwatch(productId,'color'); modProduct is an object that contains "prodArray" var which is an array of all the products. To see it, simply load up Firebug, go to the "Script" tab, and on the right enter "modProduct" in the yellow "New watch expression..." bar.....
