    Best non-sequitor ever! A crazy person broke into the article for three paragraphs and there is nary a word in the rest of the thing to explain his lunatic ramblings. How does this happen?

    Like this? Mattera gets call. Realizes he must seize opportunity for YAF publicity. Thinks quickly:

    Colleges...McCain...yes, yes, universities are subject to the same fairness doctrine as broadcasters on public airwaves, I'll say. And if they don't invite McCain, we'll pull their accreditation and their funding. Or something. I'll just say that. To this national media outlet. And I'll add some shit about the Internet and tie it to something old people care about...bridge the gap. It's better than nothing.

    Then he says two of the most nonsensical sentences on record anywhere. Not better than nothing at all.
