- About Me :
- Feel free to add me as a "friend".
I live in a remote Mexican forest overlooking a lake with my dogs and cats. I moved down here from Seattle in 2004. I am mostly a hermit though sometimes I have visitors. No city water or power so I use rain catchment for water and have solar panels satellite connection for internet. I am making a kinda eco-farm artspace here. I spend a lot of my time planting plants and repairing the old houses here and building new things.... and painting.
My art is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/brianfey/sets/1623811/

Good deed for the day: A guy writes me: "I'm wondering if you'd consider letting a non-profit group use your photo of your Dry Eyes Syndrome painting to illustrate research we've done on eye and mouth dryness as a result of rheumatoid arthritis. This is for an article

the annoying thing about the following is that I was raised vegetarian and the only people who made me uncomfortable were the meat eating kids who made fun of me. perhaps tolerance needs to be taught in those homes rather than expecting that vegetarian kids eat highly processed fake meat options...
The experts she quotes strongly suggest that parents allow some leeway, such as “allowing kids to eat meat at friends’ houses or restaurants or packing snacks and lunches that look like chicken nuggets or hot dogs but are actually made from soy or wheat gluten.”

Our response to the Mona Sarika incident...
1 FaverViewed: 7 TimesQuoted: On December 3, we found out that we'd been published in the Wall Street Journal. Well, sort of. Many of our words made it into an online column -- but our names were nowhere to be found.
