ChrisWei | Shared With: Everyone - Jan 19 2007 | google, business, microsoft, smart phoneI just installed Windows Live Search on my Windows Mobile Phone and am impressed.
I tried searching for "sushi", "auto repair", and "oriental carpets" and got excellent listings result and the UI to work your way through the listings is excellent.
I got directions from Seattle to Twisp. They were quite good and each step you could highlight and get details on that step. (They gave me the winter directions, I wonder if it is smart enough to give me the shorter route in the summer).
I then looked at the map for the route and love the fact that you can walk your way through the route, turn by turn.
The traffic page is not nearly as clear as SmartPhlow -- you can't really distinguish the normal lanes versus HOV lanes.

Ramez was the MS rep on the call about the PowerSet acquisition.
MS acquired PowerSet to add natural language capability to the Live Search engine. The guess is that this was a $100M deal. Which shows there is still room for innovation in the search realm - it's good to see MS taking a stab at innovating in search.
