If she hadn't called the copying "unintentional and unconscious," I would have more sympathy. Like anyone was going to buy that when she has identical language. I imagine the publishing world has also learned a lesson about giving book deals to 17-year-olds.

Sad. The last couple seasons have already been plagued by flat story lines and stale writing. And it can only get much much worse without ASP. I have high expectations for the new show she's creating.

As much as I hate junkmail and telemarketers, working for a company that relies on these practices shows me the other side of the coin. With a 1% return rate, these bring in thousands of orders a year. If that 1% would stop responding to this kind of solicitation it would no longer be profitable and the rest of us wouldn't have to be subject to it.

Now we just need Cheney and Bush out of there...
