This week, FontShop takes a trip to the supermarket in search of palatable packaging. Among the shelves cluttered with superfluous drop shadows and chaotic typography, it was easy to spot the few beautiful boxes. These packages are proof that good type can make anything look delectable - even puffed corn or sugar water.

Is Not Magazine has been published bi-monthly as a 2m x 1.5m bill poster and pasted to the streets, laneways, cafés and bars of Melbourne, Australia since April 2005. Is Not is an experiment in publishing, designing and reading.

Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which will celebrate its 50th birthday in 2007) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives.
