Fred Thompson was my first choice for the Republican nomination. Most of my beliefs are decidedly conservative. A friend of mine whose political ideals are similar to mine advised me to listen to Obama and give him a chance. Obama has several liberal ideas that I'm strongly opposed to, but as my friend said, we've had a conservative in office for a while now and none of the things that I disagree with have changed and are not likely to if McCain wins.

I find myself in disagreement with this blogger. Obama has impressed me considerably. Which comes as a surprise to me because I generally vote Republican. For the life of me, I just don't see a leader in McCain. But, I believe that Obama has the charisma to rally our nation. Our country is in desperate need of this.
