Hey! InfiniteHoops gets its first mention on John Cook's Venture Blog. Awesome!
Quoted: Tosh Meston, who runs the InfiniteHoops site, where basketball players can find local pick up games, didn't have a good reason for the activity. The Seattle programmer at Faves.com created InfiniteHoops because he and his friends simply wanted an easy way to know who would be showing up for games. The site now has about 3,000 members and 600 groups.

Yes. I look forward to this thing too. InfiniteHoops is at WBC (97). Faves is at WBC (16). WBC = Web-based consumer service.
Quoted: It's here! The monthly list that gets Seattle entrepreneurs all excited (ok, maybe is just me).

Awesome. InfiniteHoops got a mention on Seattlest.
Quoted: Seattlest emailed a bunch of local tech professionals and asked them for the best of the Seattle tech scene in 2007. They responded and we threw all their suggestions in a list, looked it over, and scrapped 90% of them and then made up a new list off the top of our heads.

8. Infinite Hoops
If there's a theme to the rest of the list it's that the best technology out of Seattle this year really shines when it's facilitating real-world contact. InfiniteHoops.com helps you find pick-up games in your area.ShareViewed: 14 Times

John Cook gave us some link love so I will give some back.
Quoted: Here are the top 10 based on rankings from Alexa and Compete.com (which has been noted in the past as a silly, but fun, way to gauge the traction of startups.)
Intelius

Tosh | Shared With: Everyone - Sep 03 2007 | seattle, startups, SSIOur Alexa rank is up from 12,164 last month to 10,416, but the startup rankings list now includes Compete values. The overall rank is an average of the Alexa and Compete scores. Our Compete score seems a lot lower than companies with similar Alexa ranks to our's. I am not sure why that is.
They also added Intelius to the list in the #2 spot.
Anyhow we are at 12 now.
Quoted: The new list is now ordered by the average of the Alexa and Compete ranking.
