Quoted: It is easy to find individuals to follow on Twitter. But what if you want to subscribe to the Twitter feeds of large groups of people -- say every U.S. Senator or all Twitter employees? That's where a new open source project from Seattle 2.0 founder Marcelo Calbucci comes in.

John Quincy Adams Starts Tweeting … 161 Years After Death

The history nerd in me declares it awesome that the Massachusetts Historical Society is going to tweet JQA's journal two hundred years after it was written. Huzzah!

Quoted: John Quincy Adams, the sixth President of the United States, was born in 1767 and lived until 1848. You would think that alone would exclude him from using Twitter to communicate his thoughts, not to mention him using a computer or even electricity.
    ...
But that’s exactly what the Massachusetts Historical Society is going to make happen starting Wednesday. The kicker’s that every tweet will be formulated by President Adams (@JQAdams_mhs himself. How is that possible, you ask? A high school student browsing the archive of President Adams made a unique observation about his diary entries: they were the length of the standard tweet.

Facebook, MySpace still better than Twitter for connecting people to your site? » VentureBeat

A couple weeks ago TNT allowed users to sign in with their Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter accounts to view a video stream of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Today, Turner Networks has shared the percentages user sign-ins of each identity service.

Quoted:: NBA Eastern Conference Finals Users (average of all games):
    MySpace: 40%
    Facebook: 48%
    Twitter: 12%

Facebook Connect is lower and MySpace and Twitter are higher than what I am seeing on InfiniteHoops.com.

Facebook may love US Airways hero Sullenberger even more than Twitter does

Quoted: The successful crash-landing of crippled U.S. Airways flight 1549 yesterday by Captain C.B. “Sully” Sullenberger is one of the most uplifting stories of the new year — and social media sites have been part of the story. A Twitter user may have gotten the best picture immediately following the incident, and Twitter users haven’t stopped talking about ...

Should Tech Blogs Shut Up About Twitter?

Quoted: Twitter this. Tweet that. And every day, hoards of new applications plugging into the micro-messaging service. Twitter, clearly, is the next big thing in social networking. Like any growing trend, it attracts lots of buzz, and extensive coverage on sites like Mashable (see our Twitter archive for hundreds of examples). And yet, do we detect an
